Stephen commenced practice in 1974 and has over 27 years experience specialising in commercial law. He became a founding partner of the firm in 1987.
Stephen advises clients on various areas of trade and commerce, compliance, finance and taxation and has particular expertise in the drafting, administration and negotiation of contracts. His experience covers:
- supply
- building and engineering
- timber resources
- manufacturing contracts
- tenders and tender responses
- service contracts for the provision of goods and services to Government.
Stephen has also worked extensively with trade associations and cooperatives, advising on the formation, revision and conduct of associations including members' rights and obligations under state and federal legislation. He advises the forestry industry on industry and environmental issues. Stephen has advised overseas and Australian joint venturers in the areas of engineering, construction, electronic instruments and safety equipment.

- dealings with government
- property and development transactions
- the initiation of proposed acts of Parliament and regulations.
